May 10, 11 and 12, 2022

The Centre de Creation O Vertigo – CCOV and the Cardiff Dance Festival – CDF (Wales) have initiated a collaborative research project around art therapy. The first stage of the collaboration will allow the two organizations to each invite two artists of their choice to work in the studio on the potential benefits of the body and movement as a therapeutic proposition. Joint reflection sessions via videoconference will then allow the 4 protagonists to evaluate the state of their research.

For its part, the CCOV chose Sam I Am Montolla and Sandy Silva to think about and develop research workshops on the issue of art therapy through movement and music.

Sandy Silva

Sandy is an award-winning performer, choreographer, composer, producer, teacher, and internationally acclaimed pioneer of percussive dance.
