Calls for projects / Short-term Residency

RESIDENCIES

The CCOV aims to support innovation in contemporary dance practice by providing access to its studios – projects that push the boundaries of form, and artists from all experience levels and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

We are pleased to launch our new CALL FOR PROJECTS for winter 2024. The CCOV’s first nomadic residencies will take place mainly in the Compagnie Virginie Brunelle studio at 5425, rue de Bordeaux (corner Masson) from February to April.

*** applications are now CLOSED for 2024 ***

Here’s how it works

  • This call for projects is strictly limited to simple residencies (nontechnical) and will only give 1 to 2 weeks’ access to a studio offering optimal conditions for practising the discipline.
  • Please note that the use of shoes, soil, water or loud music is not permitted in the Compagnie Virginie Brunelle studio.

*** Projects requiring shoes could possibly take place in another studio, but its use will not be exclusive, and dates would have to be determined.

  • White studio / dimensions 38 feet x 27 feet.

Evaluation criteria

A selection committee will evaluate:

  • Your artistic approach;
  • Your motivations;
  • Your project;
  • The state of advancement of your project
