Remember That Time We Met in the Future? will be the fourth CCOV production by Lara Kramer as part of the Long-Term Residency – CCOV Productions program. On stage, she reunites four Indigenous artists from across Canada.
“Lara’s selection for this fourth production is a logical continuation of our collaboration with her. As an associate artist of the CCOV since 2021, it is clear that her work resonates with our approach and values. We are very excited to deepen our relationship with Lara and to collaborating with her and her team on this ambitious and essential project.”

Description
Lara Kramer’s choreographic work powerfully explores decelerated temporalities, intergenerational knowledge transmission, and the exercise of imagination as a political and cultural force, creating transformative experiences for audiences.
The foundation of her new project, Remember that time we met in the future?, will be informed by Mno Ode, interpreted in Anishinaabemowin as good heart. On stage, four Indigenous artists, connected to this transcendent creative pulse, will navigate a non-linear movement through layers of questioning and struggle – an exploration of meaning and purpose – towards an intentional path rooted in their spiritual vitality. Their connection to old and new knowledge will intertwine in a collective impulse, weaving the threads of profound transformation and undreamt futures, ultimately leading towards a space of deeper understanding and thriving Mno Ode. Remember that time we met in the future? will unfold in a dreamlike scenographic landscape, imbued with voices, sounds, memories, and dreams.
