Bailey Eng | A research with Chinese pole

“While I explore each and between parkour, circus, and dance, I question what each discipline are, allow, and require. I am interested in integrating the body and movement with Chinese pole, approaching the pole as an extension of the floor. This project is a research of gravity and space in verticality versus horizontality, specifically in transposing movement qualities from the floor to Chinese pole, and Chinese pole to the floor. Inviting the physicalities of dance, circus, and parkour, I seek their collaborative expression of orientation and weight.” Bailey Eng

Bailey Eng‘s current movement practices stem from contemporary dance, breaking, parkour, contortion, and Chinese pole.
