Marquer le temps, s’arrêter dans le maintenant.
Vous révéler quelques bribes d’un voyage qui m’habite toujours et où la danse n’arrive jamais à sa fin. Vous offrir un accès vers l’intérieur, vers ces images mentales qui me poursuivent, me chavirent et me transforment.
Vos yeux, vos regards m’ont retournée.
Je veux demeurer ici et laisser émerger la présence des absents.
Le temps continue sa marche et mon corps s’accroche, les pieds pris dans mes pensées.
Comment archiver le fruit d’une rencontre?
Comment partager la mémoire, à la fois matière glissante, mouvante et image figée ?
Comment incarner ce qui nous a habité et nous habite encore ?

Après avoir investi l’espace public avec le projet Habiter sa mémoire, présenté dans près de 15 villes au Québec et à l’international, ayant cumulé plus de 25 représentations et 120 heures de danse en extérieur, je retourne à la beauté du temps captif en théâtre.

Marquer le temps, un solo intime où je tenterai d’incarner et de déplier mes réminiscences. Un hommage aux gens, aux lieux qui s’imprègnent dans nos esprits et nous prennent à bras le corps.


Caroline Laurin-Beaucage has been active as a choreographer, performer and teacher for the past 20 years. She has danced for such choreographers as Ginette Laurin (O Vertigo), Jacques Poulin-Denis, Paul-André Fortier and Jean-Pierre Perreault. In 2001 she began her own choreographic process and created several pieces such as: Hit and Fall (2009), SOAK (2011), Entailles (2013) and Matière blanche (2015). Her choreographic work has been presented in Montreal at Tangente, Agora de la danse, OFFTA, the Festival TransAmériques and the Festival des Arts de St-Sauveur, as well as in France, Hungary, Germany and South Korea. In 2016, Caroline Laurin-Beaucage created the work Habiter sa mémoire, an outdoor performance which has been presented in 12 different cities. This year, she will present the pieces Ground and Rebound in collaboration with the dance company Montreal Danse. Caroline Laurin-Beaucage graduated from the school of the Toronto Dance Theater. She is the founder of Lorganisme and has served as the company’s artistic director since its creation.
