NOTRE-DAME-DES-PRAIRIES

The CCOV in collaboration with the City of Notre-Dame-des-Prairies allows artists to experience a full week of residency in the city. During this residency, artists have privileged access to the Cultural Crossroads (church) for a full week, during which they can develop their artistic project. At the end of the week, the artists are invited to share the fruit of their work with the Prairie community during a presentation evening.

ÉCHANGE INTERNATIONAL K3 | TANZPLAN HAMBURG

As part of an agreement between the CCOV and K3 Tanzplan, two choreographers (one from Quebec and one from Germany) shadow each other by engaging in feedback & dialogue as each pursues an individual creative project. The Quebec choreographer spend four weeks in Hamburg (August 2024), and the German choreographer will spend four weeks in Montreal (September 2024). The host organizations support the choreographers by helping coordinate a variety of activities that respond to their individual interests. This could take the form of workshops, sharing sessions, and networking activities.

Latitudes croisées

Crossed Latitudes is a residency project between Montréal, Yellowknife, and Rouyn-Noranda taking place in 2025 and 2026. In 2025, one Montréal-based artist and one Northwest Territories–based artist will each undertake an individual residency in Yellowknife and in Rouyn-Noranda. In 2026, the two artists will reunite in Montréal for a collaborative residency.

The goal of this project is to build bridges, bring Canadian creators closer together, break the isolation of artists in remote regions, and foster lasting relationships between organizations and artists established in both the North and the South of the country.

This application to the CAM concerns expenses related to the Montréal component of the project.

ANNEXE A « Switch »

The CCOV and ANNEXE A are pleased to collaborate on a residency project between the two centres. The Switch is an interurban project that offers an artist based in Rouyn-Noranda, a one-week residency in Montréal and a Montréal artist a residency of the same period in Rouyn-Noranda. The objective of this initiative is to create stronger links between two dance communities, and to give the opportunity to artists who do not yet have networks in the city. This program also aims to strengthen artistic collaborations between these two dance centres.

Artists for summer 2024 :  sont Pamela Aubé (Montréal) and Marc-Oliver Hamelin (Rouyn-Noranda).
