REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Letter of intent (one page);
- A project description that identifies all collaborators (1000 words maximum);
- A summary budget outline that includes creation costs (fees for artists and collaborators) and production expenses (costumes, music, set design, lighting, etc)
- Curriculum vitae;
- Press kit;
- Two letters of recommendation from presenters;
- Documents presenting two completed recent works.
The Selection Committee is composed of the following members: Paul Caskey, Executive Director, CCOV, Ginette Laurin, Artistic Director, CCOV, Cathy Levy, Executive Producer of Dance, National Arts Centre, and two other persons from the Quebec dance community.
- quality of the project and the artist’s potential to see it through;
- consistency of the candidate’s artistic approach, and the project’s potential to reinforce and broaden the latter;
- significance and relevance of a large-scale creation in the artist’s overall approach;
- the need for financial and organizational support.
At the end of the selection process, the top five candidates will be interviewed by the CCOV directors.
