In the spirit of resource-sharing, the Centre de Création O Vertigo (CCOV) offers dance artists exclusive, short-term access to its studio resources, providing optimum conditions for intensive research and creation development.
Our desire is to offer a venue for artistic reflection and inclusion. In exchange for access to the studio, selected artists-in-residence must agree to open their process for a public presentation, at a time they judge appropriate. This presentation will be organized and produced in collaboration with the CCOV administrative team.
TECHNICAL RESIDENCY
BASIC RESIDENCY
Duration: 2 weeks (Monday to Friday)
Exclusive access to our 2800 sq.ft. studio: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday
Access to CCOV’s communal spaces: kitchen, change room, showers, Wi-Fi.
Access to a sound system, basic lighting for rehearsals (general lighting) and a black dance floor (40’ x 40’ marley).
- Additionally, to accommodate the installation of a set, lighting design, or other specific technical requirements.
- The CCOV will offer up to $4000 worth of technical crew services for set-up, adjustments, and strike.
Certain conditions regarding the use of the premises and equipment will be specified in a written agreement between the “Creation Centre O Vertigo” and the artist.
