Les Strange strangers
La pièce Les Strange strangers s’inspire notamment du conte de Lewis Caroll Alice au pays des merveilles et prend racine dans la philosophie de la perception. Les mouvements rendent alors intelligibles les subtilités de la conscience somatique du corps. Cette performance nous invite, avec les interprètes, à renverser notre rapport sensible à l’environnement et à sentir la matière s’animer autour de nous.
Les Strange strangers draws from Lewis Carroll’s tale, Alice in Wonderland and is deeply rooted in the philosophy of perception. Movements make visible the subtleties of somatic awareness. This performance allows us, along with the performers, to reverse our sensitive relationship to our environment and to feel the matter around us becoming animate.

BIO AUDRÉE JUTEAU (FR)
Audrée Juteau est une artiste basée à Montréal. Elle collabore à plusieurs projets comme danseuse et elle initie aussi ses propres projets comme chorégraphe. Fascinée par le flux créatif résultant de la rencontre, ses premières créations ont été avec le groupe The Choreographers. Intéressée par la question de l’altérité et du sens dans un rapport égalitaire aux êtres et aux objets, son travail chorégraphique recherche à célébrer une certaine indissociabilité de l’être à son environnement. Altération des sens, décentralisation de la volonté, affect, perte de soi sont quelques thématiques qu’aborde Audrée Juteau. Ses pièces Poisson (2013) et Sam affecte (2015) mettaient en scène un chien (Sam) et s’inspiraient de sa qualité de présence et de ses manières non-humaines d’habiter l’espace chorégraphique. Avec sa nouvelle création Les Strange strangers (2017), elle poursuit cette exploration chorégraphique en considérant les objets inanimés comme étant pourvu de ce même pouvoir d’affecter. Son travail a été présenté entre autres au Studio 303, Tangente, Offta, (Mtl), Mains d’œuvres (Paris), Oslo et New York. Audrée fut récipiendaire de la bourse Danceweb 2010 Impulstanz, en Autriche, octroyée par Jardin d’Europe, du prix chorégraphique David Kilburn (2016), et détient une maîtrise en danse de l’UQAM depuis 2016.
BIO AUDRÉE JUTEAU (ENG)
Montreal based artist Audrée Juteau is active as a dancer, she also initiates projects as a choreographer. Fascinated by the creative flux in encountering others, her first choreographic projects were collective creations with the group The Choreographers. Audrée is interested in questions concerning otherness and an equal relationship between being and objects. Her choreographic work seeks to celebrate a certain inseparability of a being and its environment. Alteration of senses, a decentralisation of the will of the performer, affect, and loss of self, are some of the themes that Audrée works with. Her choreographies: Poisson (2013, created at Studio 303, Pigeons International and Mains d’Oeuvres) and Sam affecte (2015) featured a dog on stage (Sam) and were inspired by her non-performative presence and her ways to inhabit the choreographic space. With her new creation Les Strange stranger, she is furthering this choreographic exploration by considering inanimate objects as having the power to affect. Her work has been presented among other places at Studio 303, Tangente, Offta, (Mtl), Mains d’œuvres (Paris), New York and in Oslo. She was the recipient of the Impulstanz Danceweb 2010 grant given by Jardin d’Europe, the David Kilburn prize (2016) given, and has completed her MA at the Université du Québec à Montréal.
