CHA est un collectif de concepteurs qui crée et promeut des productions axées sur la scénographie, la conception visuel et la lumière en collaboration avec des artistes de plusieurs disciplines. Les projets actuels, traitent de la perception. Nous sommes en exploration continuelle sur les conventions théâtrales et celles des diverses formes de représentation. Le but étant de créer des oeuvres qui stimulent les sens et demande au public de se situer à l’intérieur de notre proposition.
Collectif CHA is a design collective aimed at creating design based works with new creators from different disciplines. What unifies CHA’s body of work is the way that it communicates with people, each production challenging the audience to place itself at the center of the proposition and to experience it from within.

BIO DAVID-ALEXANDRE CHABOT
David-Alexandre Chabot est un concepteur d’éclairage qui aime explorer la dramaturgie et les conventions en arts de la scène. Son travail a été présenté à travers le pays, notamment à Montréal, Québec, Ottawa, Vancouver et Toronto ainsi qu’à l’international : Paris, Marseille, Reims et Queretaro. Il est un proche collaborateur de Projet Mù et Nini Bélanger, avec qui il signe les conceptions d’éclairage pour Endormi(e)s, Vipérine et Beauté, chaleur et mort.

David-Alexandre Chabot is the co-artistic director of Collectif CHA, which creates and promotes productions with a strong focus on collaborative efforts between artists of various disciplines. A lighting designer by trade, he holds a great deal of interest in exploring concepts of dramaturgy and conventions of the theatrical arts. His work has been shown across Canada, namely in Montreal, Quebec, Ottawa, Vancouver and Toronto as well as internationally in Paris, Marseille, Reims and Queretaro, to name but a few. He is a frequent collaborator of Nini Belanger’s and Projet Mu, for which he penned the lighting design for Endormi(e)s, Vipérine et Beauté, chaleur et mort, the latter of which earned him a Cochon d’or award for Best Lighting Design. More recently, he made the acquaintance of Michel-Maxime Legault, with whom he created the lighting design for shows by authors Talia Hallmona et Pascal Brullemans. Over the last five years, he has toured to over 30 cities across the world with contemporary dance choreographer Fred Gravel and his company. He has also created the lighting design for Du Doute Des Uns from Ariane Boulet, Pixel and Par le Chas de l’Aiguille d’Audrey Bergeron.
BIO PAUL CHAMBERS
Paul Chambers est un concepteur d’éclairage et de scénographie et professeur basé à Montréal. Il a récemment collaboré avec Public Recordings, 10 Gates Dancing, Amanda Acorn, Audrey Bergeron, Dorian Nuskind-Oder, Catherine Lavoie Marcus et Priscilla Guy, Maria Kefirova, Katie Ward, Susanna Hood, Sasha Kleinplatz, Antonija Livingstone, Adam Kinner, Parts+Labour_Dance, Lara Kramer Dance et Destins Croisés. Il a été Directeur technique à Tangente et au Studio 303.

Paul Chambers is a Montréal based designer and co-artistic director of Collectif CHA . Collaborating on new dance works has always been a priority for him. Teaching workshops has also been an important part of his development as an artist and mentor. At Studio 303 in Montréal, he teaches a yearly lighting design workshop for artists, in addition to teaching design & production for dance at Concordia University. From 2008 until 2013 Paul is Technical Director at Tangente: Laboratoire de Mouvement Contemporains. BIO ANNIE GAGNON
Annie Gagnon étudie en arts visuels puis se tourne vers la danse contemporaine et sort diplômée de l’EDCMTL en 2002. Interprète et chorégraphe, elle a présenté ses pièces à travers le Québec, notamment La Marche invisible à Tangente, 2010, Les femmes de la Lune Rouge au Musée de la Civilisation de Québec et à la Rotonde, 2013-2014 et Reviens vers moi le ventre en premier au Théâtre Prospero par Tangente, 2014.
